ARMO Documents

The ARMO Working Group decided to prepare some fundamental documents for the following reasons: (1) To provide more concrete ideas about the nature of the initiative and the future operation of the ARMO so that States/Economies can make proper assessment on whether to support the initiative; (2) To provide neutral terms and provisions in the documents for negotiators representing States/Economies to consider so that they will not have to deal with and make decisions on too many difficulty issues when discussing the creation of the organization; and (3) To make the most fundamental documents readily available so as to facilitate and expedite the process of creating the organization.

Currently the Working Group has drafted two most fundamental documents: (1) Agreement on The Establishment of the Asia-Pacific Reginal Mediation Organization, and (2) Rules of Procedure for Mediation Conducted Under the Asia-Pacific Regional Mediation Organization.
